Musical Fractions

Our busy week!

From Musical Fractions to Dictionaries, it has been a busy week!

These funny looking tubes are each a different note.

We played the highest pitch to the lowest pitch.
Mrs. Stepleton stopped by and helped us learn how fractions are in music!  Whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes... Today students got to HEAR what fractions sound like!
Pitch challenge!  Believe it or not, identifying pitch is a TCAP skill for science!
Aidan made a Lego Volcano during recess.  :)
Fraction Jam!
After analyzing a poem on Volcanoes, students work together to look up unknown words in dictionaries.  They did a great job!  **We could use some more class dictionaries if you are able to donate!  They are available at the Dollar Store**  :)
