Valentine’s Day
On February 14th we will participate in a Valentine card exchange in class. If you wish to have your child participate please label 20 Valentine cards with each child’s name. If you can help us with the treat, please return the bottom portion of this note.
We already have bags for the students to collect their Valentines in. This is still an academic day- we are not having a party for the parents. Thank you!
PTO Auction Basket- Help Needed!
March 2nd is our PTO auction. Each classroom designs a basket to be auctioned off. Our basket’s theme is “A Night At The Movies”. We need donations to fit this theme. Some ideas might include: gift cards to movie theatres or local restaurants, DVDs, movie memorabilia and snack food. All proceeds go directly back to OUR classroom alone. Last year’s auction money enabled us to purchase an iPad. Please send in any items by February 29th, and if you know you have an item coming, I would love to hear about it (Ashley.cross@sumnerschools.org)
Student Art Show
Special home assignment: Please have your student create ONE piece of art. This can be a painting, drawing, sculpture/model, etc. You can use basic supplies from around the house like crayons, markers or paint. Please bring in the artwork by Thursday, February 16th.
