First Grade Physics

This week we have been studying Simple Machines and Graphs.  Today we combined the two with a very fun hands-on unit!
The students created their own popsicle stick catapults and launched marshmallows.  We ran the videos through a physics program to create a graph.

The expectations of students have never been higher.  On standardized tests, students must not only correctly interpret data, it must have meaning to them.
We created graphs of real life events and tomorrow we will analyze them.

See a few of our videos below!
